Requirements: PC/Windows, DirectX 9 Runtime, NVIDIA GeForce3-ti or equivalent ATI graphics card,
supporting DirectX Vertex Shader version 1.1 and Pixel Shader version 1.3.
Download a movie (.wmv) demonstrating a sample of the application.
The executable represents a semester's worth of independent study work, during which I researched and implemented various spring-based models for simulating soft body physics in real time.
In addition, this version of the application allows you to view all my DirectX-based demos running off of my work-in-progress game-engine. These include the latest versions of the Articulated Model viewer, Spring-Damper physics, Gravitational physics demo, as well as the Height-Map to Terrain and cloth generation utilities.
Some of the specific elements that went into creating the Soft Body demo include spring-based soft body physics modeling, terrain height mapping, stencil buffer-based shadow volumes, environment mapping, and basic collision detection and response.
To run any of the demos, start the application and go to File|New, then select the demo.
